Black Magic Cake

Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar

1 ¾ cups All-Purpose Flour

¾ cup Hershey’s Cocoa powder

1 ½ tsp baking soda

1 ½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup strong black coffee

½ cup vegetable oil

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour baking pan.

  • Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  • Add eggs, buttermilk, coffee, vegetable oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed of a mixer for about 2 minutes or until fully combined.

  • Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the mixer bowl and mix until fully combined. Batter will be thin.

  • Pour batter into the prepared pan.

  • Bake 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

  • Allow to cool completely before icing.

  • Enjoy!

**Cake will be most moist the next day, best prepared the day before serving but totally okay to serve same day.
