London: Food

London Bites:

Breakfast, McDonald’s-we really just wanted to try the UK version of fast food at some point. Breakfast was good, I got the Breakfast roll with ketchup & an orange juice. I prefer the roll so much more than our English Muffin option back in the States.

Lunch, Coppa Club- located near London Tower & Tower Bridge, this is a convenient & chic place to grab a bite. They feature a full bar, indoor & outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is a lovely option, you get great views of Tower Bridge and can watch the activity on the Thames. They also have outdoor glass igloo pods for larger parties to dine in. We got the parmesan croquettes to start and both ordered Fish & Chips for our lunch. The croquettes were absolutely fantastic; light, airy, and almost melts in your mouth with a nice, fluffy coating. The Fish & Chips were also quite good, we each got a side of mushy peas with mint.

Dinner, Stone & Grill- this was right around the corner from our hotel, just a few minutes walk. We did not have a reservation and got lucky to walk in on the last available table for 2. We started with some cheesy garlic bread then for dinners, I got the Chicken Alfredo Linguine and my mom got the Charcoal Grilled Chicken Thighs. Both were excellent! The flavor of her chicken was really tasty and came with a side of rice & small salad. My pasta was perfect with chicken, mushrooms, & linguine in a creamy alfredo sauce.

Lunch, Mildred’s- this spot we definitely stepped out of our comfort zone but it was a delightful experience! We were walking about Victoria near our hotel & walked by Mildred’s, it’s got the cutest exterior with an adorable bistro-style patio. We did not look at the menu prior so when we sat down, we quickly realized everything was Vegan. We told ourselves we would be adventurous & try new things on this trip and I am grateful we did. I started with a Lychee Bellini (10/10) and Kimchi Gyoza (12/10) while my mom had a Oolong & Pineapple Cold Tea and the arancini rossi. We both ate every single bite & drank every drop of our drinks, it was the perfect portions for a light brunch and the flavors were all fantastic.

Dinner, The Stoke House- our final dinner in London and it was a great send off! We started off with an order of bread and I had a Lychee Martini with Beef Wellington. This was my first time trying Beef Wellington and it was really good, I ate every bite. My mom had the Stokehouse Smoked Chicken, which I did steal a bite of & was delicious as well.
