London/Edinburgh Travel Guide

London Transportation

I highly recommend downloading the City Mappers app. Free, very easy to use, and gives you all the transportation routes available with live directions & live updates for public transport delays/departures/arrivals.

Transfer from Southampton to London (booked through Viator, we were assigned ATN Cars & had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our driver was wonderful & offered to take us to King’s Cross the day we left for Scotland)

The Tube/Underground (Oyster card or with credit/debit card. If traveling with multiple people, the card will only work for 1 swipe at a time, so you can’t swipe the same card multiple times for multiple people)

London Black Cabs (these are a cool, iconic ride but they do charge more than Uber or normal taxi. Book through Uber)

Uber (traditional rides, black cab, Eats, and there is an Uber Boat on the Thames)

Double-Decker Bus (like the Tube, just tap to pay with Oyster card or your credit card)
